The state of polish is near excellent providing a great study opportunity. The hada is itame with masame mix and there are many chikei along with a sprinkling of ji-nie. The hamon is gunome midare with ashi, ko-ashi, ara nie, sunagashi, nie hotsure and more. The boshi is midare komi. There are a few small flaws which may include but are not limited to areas of light scuffing, hike kizu or surface scratches, kitte/hada ware or openings, loose grain, pitting, stains, etc.. All are clearly shown in the provided photographs. Please note, the loose areas seen in the shinogi area do not stand out so intensely in hand. The lights used for photographing the swords reflects dramatically on every tiny crevice making it look much worse than it is. Unfortunately, I do not know how to prevent this from occurring. Comes in Shirasaya with Ivory Hatome. Overall for the price this sword is a great bargain.
$1750 You may remember this one, as it was listed here recently. The owner has decided to trade up and would like to move this one. Previously it was listed at $1950. The current asking price is exactly what it was purchased for a few months ago. The price is firm.
